Ansys è un prodotto Ansys Inc.

La leggerezza, resistenza e versatilità dei materiali compositi li rendono attraenti per molteplici applicazioni, soprattutto se l’obiettivo è quello di traguardare prestazioni meccaniche di alto livello. Per impostare in modo opportuno una simulazione FEM utilizzando questi materiali è necessario considerarne la loro natura composita, la direzionalità delle proprietà meccaniche, definendo inoltre i laminati con un approccio layerizzato.

Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP) è uno strumento integrato nella piattaforma Workbench completamente dedicato alla modellazione dei laminati in materiale composito (Pre) ed alla successiva interpretazione dei risultati (Post), con strumenti di failure analysis dedicati.

ACP consente di generare modelli FEM con laminazioni differenziate per zone e definite strato per strato, sfrutta il solutore di Ansys Mechanical per eseguire simulazioni strutturali e termiche implicite ed esplicite, nonché interazioni fluido-struttura. A partire dalla definizione/scelta dei dati materiale (UD, Fabric, Stack-up), nella fase di Pre-processing ACP permette di definire multiple direzioni di riferimento (Oriented Selection Set) e lay-up delle ply, unendo avanzate capacità di modellazione di elementi solidi (necessarie per opportune analisi di submodeling shell-to-solid) e piani di laminazione con doppia curvature (Draping analysis).

In fase di Post-processing, ACP consente la verifica del comportamento generale della struttura e la possibilità di una accurata e puntuale failure analysis, permettendo di valutare anche lo stato tensionale fuori dal piano e prevedendo fenomeni di delaminazione e debonding. ACP consente anche lo scambio di informazioni sul modello attraverso diversi canali (e.g. Excel), tra i quali il formato CAE vendor-independent HDF5 che abilita la comunicazione con strumenti di terze parti.
