Description
The course aims to enable users to integrate and simulate mechanical models created in RecurDyn with fluid dynamic models created in Particleworks. Interoperation between mechanics (rigid or flexible) and fluid dynamics enables the contexts where fluid dynamic forces influence the dynamic response of the multibody system, and conversely, where the behavior of the mechanical system determines the fluid dynamic response, to be studied. The sloshing of fluids in tanks transported by vehicles, washing machines, the balancing rings on washing machine baskets, aquaplaning vehicles, and so on are all examples of interactions between mechanics and fluid dynamics. Co-simulation with RecurDyn and Particleworks can also be extremely useful to conduct pure fluid dynamic simulations where there are many bodies moving in complex ways (for example, the lubrication of a chain).
