Description

The Flownex training will be carried out during two consecutive days. The first one will be dedicated to the Flownex basic training. Theoretic aspects of the system simulation approach will be described. After a presentation of the GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the typical workflow, the different type of components and libraries will be illustrated: for example, pipes, bends, pumps, orifices, valves and heat exchanges. The options related to the flow balance, sensitivity analyses and optimization will be explained. We will also show the setup for the transient analyses, with the introduction of dynamic controls on the system components (such as, for example, the law of opening and closing of the valves). Finally, guidelines will be provided for the post-processing of the analyzes through automatic graphs and reports in MS Excel. During the course, the integration of Flownex with Ansys software will also be shown, to address 3D-1D co-simulation problems with fluid dynamic and structural solvers. During the first day, examples and exercises will be used to facilitate learning and use of the software in setting up, analyzing and verifying models. During the second day, a first Flownex model will be developed based on the indications provided by the Customer. In this way it will be possible to apply the tool to a case study.

Analysts who want to use a single environment, integrated with MS Excel, which solve the fluid dynamic behaviour of the plant.
