Description
This course provides a comprehensive overview of multi-physics circuit analysis and simulation, allowing for the synergistic integration of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal components within a single platform. These elements can be combined through mathematical operations described using concepts like State Space, block diagrams, state machines, and scripting algorithms. This tool offers an optimal environment for connecting controls (power electronics) and electromagnetic devices (FEM models), and it provides the possibility to incorporate Reduced-Order Models (ROM). Its flexibility is demonstrated by the ability to import Modelica, SPICE, and FMU/FMI components, extend component libraries using VHDL-AMS and C++ scripting, and compatibility with third-party tools like Simulink.
This introductory course aims to demonstrate methodologies for designing, modeling, analyzing, and optimizing high-performance systems, with a focus on electrical applications. Its scope can easily be extended to cover thermal, electromechanical, electromagnetic, and hydraulic designs, typical in the automotive, aerospace/defense, and industrial automation sectors.
