Description
The course "Finite Element Electromagnetic Simulation for PCBs" is designed to provide a deep understanding of electromagnetic simulation techniques applied to the design and analysis of printed circuit boards (PCBs). During the course, participants will explore both fundamental and advanced principles of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI), which are critical for ensuring the proper functioning of electronic boards.
The course will delve into Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation techniques, one of the most effective methodologies for analyzing and solving complex electromagnetic issues in PCBs. Additionally, it will cover the analysis of electromagnetic susceptibility, allowing participants to understand and mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues. Both near-field and far-field electromagnetic emissions will be examined, equipping students with the necessary skills to evaluate and improve the electromagnetic performance of their designs.
Through practical examples, exercises, and case studies, participants will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge required to effectively use FEM simulation software in the context of PCB design. This course is ideal for electronics engineers, PCB designers, and professionals aiming to improve the quality and reliability of their electronic products through a thorough understanding of electromagnetic simulation techniques.
Target Audience
ECAD Designers.
