Virtual material testing based on homogenization theory is effective method for the purpose to predict anisotropic material properties.

The analysis needs to input properties for materials or material interface in the microstructure.

However, some of them are not easy to prepare with actual measurements, which are young modulus for radial direction of carbon fiber and the interfacial strength between fibers and resin etc.

In this webinar, analysis method and some examples of reverse engineering in microstructures of composites by combining material database collected from virtual material testing results and AI are presented.
