webinar

How to prevent contaminants diffusion in an HVAC system

Date: March 13, 2024

Timetable: 15.00 - 16.00

Speaker/s: Erik Mazzoleni

Language: English

This webinar will show the HVAC system simulations with fast modeling techniques.

Trace and diffusion of contaminants will be analyzed though probes of local concentration for each part of the pipeline and measurements of the contaminant accumulation for each room.

Moreover, the webinar will present the modeling of HVAC components, humid air calculations, PID controllers and dynamic scenarios to regulate flow rate, temperature and humidity in a controlled environment. An example of humidity and temperature control system will be also introduced.

This modeling approach consolidates the development process and control of an air conditioning system, reducing the testing times of the real system.

A series industrial cases will be used as examples to illustrate few simulation scenarios.

CASE STUDY

Intermarine Shipyard tests Flownex SE for its naval piping systems

Software found to save time in the design phase

This technical article describes a comparative study that was undertaken by Intermarine, with the assistance of EnginSoft, between using the Flownex simulation environment and Intermarine’s manual or classic methods (both of which were compared with actual field data from on-board measurements) to predict pressure losses in the various piping systems that convey fluids on board a vessel.
