Hybrid Simulations Drive Next Gen Thermal Management and Battery Insights in EVs: A Joint Case Study by oorja & NXP
We will present our solutions:
Battery pack design: speed up the stages of design of a new battery pack.
Capacity Fade analysis: predicting the SoH (State of Health) of the cell is one of the most important aspects in the design of a new battery pack. With the most advanced technologies it is possible to estimate degradation, calculate the End of Life criteria and analyse the contributions of various physical phenomena (Lithium plating, SEI thickness, etc) on which degradation depends.
Thermal Management Analyses: the correct prediction of the thermal behaviour and thermal runaway of the battery pack are crucial aspects for the safety of the battery itself. By exploiting new technologies, it is possible to predict whether an individual cell will experience thermal runaway and whether it is also triggered in the other cells and thus, if necessary, adopt the best prevention strategies to nullify the cascade effect.
