EnginSoft and Smart Manufacturing Technology announce distribution agreement for Italy, France and Sweden

Collaboration expected to rapidly enable significant market sector expansion for both companies

Date: March 15, 2021

Venue: Trento, Italy

EnginSoft SpA, a leading consulting firm in Simulation Based Engineering Science (SBES), has secured an important distribution contract for Italy, France and Sweden from Smart Manufacturing Technology (SMT), absolute leaders in the production of software for the design, verification and simulation during the design, testing and manufacturing of powertrains, gearboxes, gears, rotating shafts and bearings.

“This agreement allows EnginSoft to notably strengthen our already substantial SBES product and service range, and offer our customers the ability to design and simulate a full driveline , both statically and dynamically, while also being able to integrate the design and verification of lubrication; static, dynamic, fatigue and acoustic structural analysis issues, and more using the most advanced tools on the market,” stated Stefano Odorizzi, President of EnginSoft.

SMT’s MASTA suite has already become a worldwide benchmark among automotive, truck, industrial and wind companies and is growing considerably in the aero sector. It is a fully integrated suite of products for the design, verification and simulation of complete mechanical power transmission systems in both static and dynamic regime-NVH (up to free-field acoustics). This is done with reference to the system as a whole rather than to the single component (gear or shaft and bearing), down to the smallest detail of the micro-geometries.

“As a leading provider of global engineering solutions, our primary interest is to establish long-term partnerships with top-level technical software developers whose products can be seamlessly integrated with our extensive offerings in order to assure our customers of a stable, reliable partner with deep cross-disciplinary expertise in proven technologies," commented Odorizzi.

"The alliance with Smart Manufacturing Technology Limited allows us to address markets such as transport (people and goods) and energy production in which electrification and the resulting NVH emissions have become fundamentally important in managing the acoustic comfort resulting from the initial product design choices,” states Daniele Sacchi, MASTA Product Manager at EnginSoft, “In fact, MASTA allows the complexity of the interactions between the transmission components, the related production anomalies, and the controls of the electric traction motors to already be easily studied at the design phase, to explore their respective effects on the finished product".

Speaking of the new partnership, SMT’s Sales Director Pramod Mooneramsing said:

“We are thrilled to have formed a partnership with such a prestigious company. EnginSoft bring an enormous amount of knowledge and experience in the field of CAE software and we are excited to further expand our customer base across the European continent.”
