ANSYS WEBINAR
In this webinar, guest speakers from The Welding Institute (TWI) and the ANSYS Granta team present a software-based application for optimizing process parameters for selective laser melting (SLM) builds. The "holy grail" of metal additive manufacturing (AM) is producing reliable, high-performance parts with minimal post-processing required. This demands geometry-specific process parameters that enable a near-uniform thermal history throughout the build.
Through the collaborative PASSPORT project, TWI and ANSYS have explored a software solution for selecting process parameters for AlSi10Mg SLM parts, based on metallurgical characterization results.
