Sculptor™ enables to apply rapid, high fidelity parameterization and then deformations of any volumetric geometry – which can be imported either from a CFD, mesh or CAD tool. To this end, the software proposes a procedure to generate multiple Computational Fluid Dynamics model variants, while keeping CAD and Grid Generators out of the design process loop – thus saving design time and costs substantially. The generated models are then tested in CFD programs. Finally, Sculptor™ transfers the final CFD model back to the original CAD file.
Sculptor™:
- parameterizes volumes directly from the CFD case file or mesh file;
- avoids any re-meshing;
- keeps CAD and mesher out from the design loop;
- offers built-in, easy-to-use optimizer;
- through batch mode functionality, can be connected to any external optimization software (such as modeFRONTIER®) or user routine.
- transfers the shape of the optimal CFD model back to the original CAD file (Back-to-CAD).
